How to get to Ohara, Isumi-Shi Chiba-ken,
Trains
From Tokyo
The fastest way to get to Ohara by train is to take the Keiyo Line Tokkyu train called the "Wakashio" which leaves Tokyo Station on the hour (although not every hour so check the schedule). This departs from Tokyo Stn. Keiyo Underground Platform #1 and takes 71 minutes. The Keiyo Line is closer to Nijubashimae Station (on the Chiyoda Line) so give yourself about 15 minutes if you are walking from Tokyo Station (it's right underneath Tokyo International Forum, which is where you should head if coming by cab). Most "Wakashio" trains run through to Awa Kamagawa but some only go as far as Kazusa Ichinomiya, where you would need to change to a local JR Sotobo Line train and take 4 stops to Ohara.
The Keiyo Line also has regular Limited Express trains that run out to Ohara (or Kazusa Ichinomiya). This takes 130 minutes.
The Price basic is 1,620 yen plus 900 yen express fee if you take the "Wakashio", which is well worth it in terms of price and comfort. If you buy a 4-pack of Tokkyu-Kaisuken for 2,800 yen at Tokyo Station you can reduce the express fee to 700 yen each way for two people.
The Keiyo Line is part of the JR system so a JR Japan Rail-pass can be used.
You can also take the JR Sobu Line Rapid Service to Chiba Station and change to the JR Sotobo Line to Ohara. This takes 130 minutes.
From Narita Airport
Take the JR Narita Line-Sobu Line to Chiba Station and change to the JR Sotobo Line Line Rapid Service to Kazusa Ichinomiya changing to the Sotobo Line to Ohara. This takes 107 minutes.
Pick up or return to Ohara station can be arranged. Please ask for details.
Tickets do not need to be pre-booked as in North America or Europe. You can simply buy a ticket to ride.
Again, Japan Rail Passes are valid on the Keiyo Line.

Marudai-Suisan
652 Ohara,
Isumi-shi, Chiba-Ken
It's actually the address of an Isei-ebi wholesaler but our driveway is the last one on the left (just before the ocean) when you are driving down to Marudai-Suisan.
Look for this sign at the driveway entrance.
